Nights out in Glasgow
As one would expect of a city of international standing, Glasgow
offers a huge range of entertainment for visitors to enjoy.
It boasts nearly 1,000 bars in the city centre and west end
alone, from quiet hideaways to bustling cocktail bars. The city
also features an incredible variety of restaurants and eateries,
from luxurious establishments to fast food and take-away, serving
dishes from around the globe, Chinese, Indian, Italian, French,
Greek, Mongiolian and Thai, to name but a few.

Glasgow has an impressive choice of theatres, showing everything from
variety and West End musicals to classical performances and the high
arts, to the most innovative cutting-edge contemporary art. The city
is also home to a number of cinemas showing artistic and foreign pieces
to the latest and greatest of Hollywood blockbusters. Most notable
is the 18-Screen Cineworld multiplex, officially the tallest cinema
in the world. Glasgow also plays host to a superb range of nightclubs
within the city centre, the West End and surrounding areas, from student
venues to 70's themed clubs.
A city in love with laughter and well-known for producing a host of
wonderful comedians, Glasgow features a number of stand-up comedy
clubs, were visitors may pay on entry or book tables to sit and enjoy
some of the most popular and up and coming acts in the business. For
something a little different, there are a number of large casinos
throughout the city. Plans for further developments of new casinos
are underway including the first destination resort casino in the
country featuring a five star luxury hotel, shopping, business, restaurant,
health and leisure facilities.
