Gala as well as other major companies own a selection of casinos throughout the city, the large Merchant City branch being one of the most popular. The bustling Sauchiehall street is not short of its own gambling hot spots with a Gala and Stanley casino within close proximity of each other, amongst the hundreds of bars and clubs.

The city council already accepted plans for a £162million enormous regional casino to be built along with other developments on the banks of the River Clyde. The casino will features a luxury 5 star hotel, making it the first resort casino in Scotland. In addition to this the casino will incorporate shopping, and leisure restaurant facilities a fitness suite and health spa.

Other future casino constructions include an exciting new development on Glasgow Harbour, by the Las Vegas Based MGM Mirage company who will be building another large casino in the city's south side.
